Our vibrant Youth Groups provide a social outlet for the children of congregants. Our three Youth Groups offer unique opportunities to foster friendships. Children can build a lifelong Jewish identity through these groups which combine informal Jewish education with large doses of fun.

CHAVERIM

Chaverim is our social group for 3rd - 5th graders who meet at least twice a semester for a social event after Sunday school. Some events are held at the temple some events will be held off site. Parent participation is strongly encouraged. If you are interested in assisting at a Chaverim event please contact Ramona Brand at [email protected].

Jr. Jerafty

Jr. JeRAFTY is our new middle school group for 6th through 8th graders. This youth group meets about once a month with social activities both at and away from the synagogue. Ice-skating, cook-outs, Kolot youth services, shul-ins, food and get-togethers are all part of the fun. 8th grade students are encouraged to attend The Vent and Spring Kallah as a way to lead into NFTY participation.

Jerafty
- Youth participation culminates in our own National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) chapter—named JeRAFTY — for 9th through 12th graders. Some of our exciting events have included attendance at regional kallahs (conventions), sleepovers, monthly hangouts in the youth lounge, open mike nights, pizza parties and a variety of social action programs. JeRAFTY members can help run games and events for Jr. JeRAFTY.

URJ Camps

A URJ sleep-away camp experience is a unique, fun way to help your son or daughter cultivate an independent sense of self, along with a proud Jewish identity.
