Membership—Congregation Beth Ahabah, Richmond, Virginia (VA)

Congregation Beth Ahabah represents a diverse membership from the Greater Richmond Region. Members have many opportunities to share in meaningful programs and to experience the joys of fellowship and family affiliation. We invite and encourage you to become a member of Congregation Beth Ahabah.

Membership offers a variety of exclusive privileges including:

Educational and social programs
Use of Temple facilities
Ability to send children to Religious School
Marriage in our beautiful sanctuary
Other life cycle events such as B'nai Mitzvah and Confirmation
The option to purchase plots in our historic cemetery
Tickets to High Holy Day services

Three membership categories are available: Individual, Standard and Out of Town. Each category of membership has a recommended financial commitment associated with it as listed below:

*There is no Building Fund Commitment until age 35

In addition, all new members make a financial commitment to the New Member Building Fund. This Fund commitment (currently $1,800 for individuals and $2,100 for families) is payable over a five-year period and is deferred until a member turns 35.

It is the firm policy of Beth Ahabah that no congregant will be denied membership, education, or program access due to an inability to pay dues or other fees. Should any congregant or prospective congregant be unable to afford the suggested minimum financial commitment, they will be confidentially accommodated. Anyone interested in membership should contact the Temple office at 804-358-6757.

Membership financial commitments may be made by enclosing a check and mailing it with the completed and signed membership application to the Temple office- 1111 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220 or by paying using a credit card on our Contribute page and then mailing the application.
